Influences on the Founding Fathers | Locke | Document Based Flipbook Activity
You are purchasing a U.S. Government, Document-Based, creative flipbook activity that addresses the following question:
Essential Question: How did the Magna Carta, English Bill of Rights, John Locke, and Montesquieu influence the ideas of the Founding Fathers and the contents of the U.S. Constitution/Bill of Rights? Appropriate for grades 8-12!
Specifically, your students will:
1) Complete a Warm-up Activity: watch a short introductory video on the influences of Locke & Montesquieu on U.S. Government and complete a corresponding video handout.
2) Assemble & decorate their highly visual flipbook.
3) Go through a set of full-color essential vocabulary slides, 2 sets of reading handouts (biographies and primary source excerpts) to complete the corresponding sections (prompts & questions provided) of their flipbook.
Everything is included! Teacher directions, 2 versions of the reading handouts, all sections of the flipbook, answer keys, presentation slides etc. All you will need to provide is scissors, glue sticks and colors.
