Your students will:
Be given an illustrated timeline of the major events that led up to the war and they will briefly IDENTIFY each event in the space provided. (A Reference Sheet is provided or students can use your class resource)
Work in pairs (or independently) to read each primary source provided and identify WHICH event of the TIMELINE is being illustrated. MATCHING ACTIVITY.
Answer a corresponding comprehension/ critical thinking question to guide their understanding of the primary sources.
Complete an EXIT CARD activity to exhibit their understanding of the Essential Question.
