This 5-page DOCUMENT-BASED (Primary Source) activity addresses the different forms of democracy practiced in Greece (Athens) and Rome, who were considered the citizens of Greece and Rome, how philosophers like Plato and Aristotle improved democracy through their writing, and duties of the citizen in in the democracies of Greece and Rome. Appropriate for grades 7-9.
