In this Industrial Revolution Period activity, students will examine the art movements associated with the spread of the Industrial Revolution (1700’s -1890).


Art Movements covered:

-Neoclassicism, Romanticism, Realism and Impressionism.


In this activity your students will:

1) Take notes on a foldable style graphic organizer (included) while the teacher projects a full color, high interest power-point with audio and visual examples of the movements that are embedded in the presentation.

2) Apply what they have learned by drawing a quick sketch of a house in each art style.

3) Complete an Exit Card/ Assessment Activity in which students will examine 8 Exhibits (both audio and visual) and must identify to which art movement the Exhibit belongs based upon their understanding.
